I am polishing my swingarm while I am waiting for the new belt and isolators to come in. The bearings and races are in good shape but I need new seals. These look pretty generic but I do not see any numbers on them that would help me source them locally. Suggestions? Is there a HD version of 47584-94Y (Buell seal pn)? The HD dealer is much closer than the nearest Buell dealer.... Thanks |

Your HD dealer should be able to order the Buell PN, they're all in the parts download for the computer systems. |

Thanks, but I wouldn't order parts anyway. To many cases of mis-ordered, back ordered and non-ordered parts. I am hoping to find them on the shelf locally, otherwise I will buy them from one of the fine sponsors here who has them on the shelf. |

HD shops can ONLY buy Buell parts if they are a Buell dealer. Even if the parts cary an HD number... Go with the Sponsers here. I've had great service from Colin at Hal's. |

Thanks Greg, there is a bearing shop across the street I'll try 1st and then check with Manchester HD. If they don't have stock, then I will take you up on your offer! |

I don't know about the cast aluminum swingarm seals, but the seals for the steel swingarms can be purchased at nearly any auto parts store. The seals have a p/n stamped in them. I just took mine in to O'Reilly's and picked up the exact replacements. Only cost a little over $2 each! |

they probably are the same 99, and the auto store equivalent is what I was hoping for, but for some reason I don't have any numbers stamped on mine? Greg are there any numbers on the ones you're holding? |

OK...here's the numbers and dimensions for the seal used on the steel swingarm bikes. You can compare it to yours. The National Seal part number is 443018. The dimensions are: Seal ID: 1.500" Bore Dia: 1.984" Seal Width: 0.188" |

I measured my seals and they are the same dimensions as the steel swingarm seals. Thanks for posting the dimensions. |
