Do you guys ever ride with someone on the back for any significant length of time? How does your bike handle if you do. I have a couple of times and hated it both times, maybe because I was a little nervous. |

Motorcycles will always handle differently when you have extra weight or a passenger on them. |

it's possible on the M2, but it will be a nightmare for the passenger without proper grab handles and a sissy bar (as on any sports bike). I plan on buying a corbin seat with backrest/sissybar. |

I ride with my wife on my M2. I try to avoid it when I can. She enjoys it, but it's a chore for me. The M2 is so much more nimble and fun without a passenger. It better when your passenger is used to riding with you and helps make things easier. My wife knows when to hold on tight for passes, she also braces herself on the tank when we come to a stop so she doesn't force me forward. The bike will still pull ahead of most cars at a red light, the power isn't really an issue. I can't wait to get her her own bike. |

check profile pic, that was half of a about 200+ mile ride that day through deals gap riding with a bunch of other guys during march badness last year. i think that's the longest ride i've done on the m2 with her and it wasn't that bad. she's a good passenger and knows how to hold on. the seat makes all the difference in the world. had a corbin gunslinger with back rest but neither one of us like it. i let my buddy use it on his cyclone and he likes it. |

My girlfriend says she has an orgasm every time she rides on the back of the M2. Nothing like a common crankpin V-twin. She likes heavy deceleration using engine braking the best...seriously |

"I have a couple of times and hated it both times, maybe because I was a little nervous." I have a policy of 'no passengers' on motorcycles. It gets me strange looks from women sometimes, but I stick to that personal rule. "check profile pic, that was half of a about 200+ mile ride that day through deals gap riding with a bunch of other guys during march badness last year." I was on that ride with Neil and his wife. He's probably going to be humble about it, but they are both highly skilled at two-up riding and were riding at a pace that a lot of motorcyclists couldn't match riding solo. I saw a Gixxer with a passenger wave them by at Deals Gap. I wish I could have seen that guys face when Neil and his wife flew by. |

dj, after riding with jerry up on the cherry cola, i realized big time that i need some serious edumacation on a bike. there's an advanced rider's course around here in september and one of the guys at work has a son that teaches the motorcycle training for cops at the bmw test track out here in spartanburg. i'd even like the chance to do the inside pass. i appreciate the comment though, but it helps when your riding with a bunch of great people to be able to follow their lead) |

As a passenger on an M2, I must agree that something other than the stock seat is a must. We have the corbin gunfighter seat which is much more comfortable that the stock. The other plus is a backrest. While the Ventura rack is not technically a backrest, it's nice just knowing there is something behind me when we're riding the M2. As for Diane and Denise as passengers, they are great from what I've seen. I think part of that comes from not just the amount of riding time, but being riders themselves. M2nc wishes I could ride half as well as Diane or Denise. Maybe I'll settle down and learn to lean in time! |

I have a corbin seat with back rest. My wife and I have done multiple 350 mile days. I put the Buell canvas saddlebags on and we hit the road. |

wife, i think diane has her eyes closed most of the time so it doesn't take much experience to do that. as good as carlos is, i'm sure it doesn't make any difference to him whether your on the back or not. and seat does make a differnce on the ride. the stock low seat on the first one didn't stay on there to long after i did a 3100 mile trip. |

Nine state trip with wife from Cal to Sturgis. Corbin Gunfighter and Lady with Backrest. I just knew she would be so done with bikes before the trip ended but she loves the Buell still. Our longest day together was 650 miles. Set the bike up and do it if you want. I have works shock with race tech fork mods. |
