unix nice video out side of the little bit of bobbleing. i'm guessing that's from some of the rough roads you talked about. nice to get a personal tour of the country side over there. and reguardless of some of the issues you have with the m2, don't ever think you got short changed cause you do have a nice bike and looks like you got some great places to ride around. hugie, do you call that your xsm2, seeing that you have a chin fairing on there too. |

Hugie,. that fairing looks good... i'd like to have one.. but i can't find anything on ebay.com, does anyone know where i could buy it? any catalogs, how much is it from a harley dealer? S2, S3 fairing in mind. about the zig-zag lines on the road, they mark places where buses can stop - note the bus stop sign on the side of the road i'm not saying the M2 is bad... but it could be better with those minor glitches fixed at the assembly line, not in my garage sometime i'll make a movie when riding with some friends, and maybe a ride through the city (Cracow/Krakow), and add some nice pictures of the old town (it has the largest town square in Europe). here are some pics of the seasonal bike opening in Krakow (usually in april-may). at that time i still had my old yamaha virago, the parade through krakow was a few kilometres in length. http://picasaweb.google.pl/yellovv4/MnikW200802 hugie , u mentioned your grandparents are from poland, what town/city? just curious. regards, |

by the time they stopped making them in 02, they were pretty decent besides the speed sensor problems. of course with anything you have the older it gets the more problems there's gonna be. so far the uly xt has been pretty good unlike some of the problems that other people have had. sure appreciate the pics of the ride through some great looking areas. looks like a pretty good turnout i wish i had taken advantage of the time i was stationed over seas like other people have. |

Great pics Unix! I'll have to ask my mom where the family is from in Poland. I still have family their and I would like to meet them one day. Oh, Unix... check out the shifter linkage on my 02. very simple set up that you could fab yourself with some time, a few beers and a hardware store or (Japan,German, ect..) bike dealer near by. And you are right, Buell just about fixed everything by 2002 and then changed the whole bike |

nice lookin' bike, the fairing is great (wish i could find one for sale) and i like the front fender. if anyone has a S3 fairing with the mounting brackets for sale please let me know i'd possibly be interested in buying it. here is a recent pic of my bike... i mounted soft touring bags, they work great in everyday riding, for example for packing some shopping etc. i recently also mounted new copper shifter bushings - what a nightmare to make it fit. i had to file the peg because the surface wasnt smooth, and with the new bushings after tightening the peg the shifter wouldn't pivot freely... i spent lots of time trying to make it fit... and it worked great for the first few hours, then the freeplay returned... i also got my speedo working after changing the speed sensor. i made a makeshift breather from a fuel filter and mounted it under the rear frame, works good. well here is the pic, taken in Krakow next to a Soviet tank (a T-34 i think) from the II World War. Nice piece of history. These tanks crushed the Nazi by sheer number, they were very primitive compared to the German Panthers but durable.

Unix, keep your eye on Ebay for the fairing. They pop up up every couple of weeks. I would order the newer style shifter to avoid future problems. I have no complaints about my 2002 shifter linkage and I would think they're not that expensive. |

watch the bags don't scuff up your paint unix, they did on mine, specially when you get road grime between them and tailpiece. I stuck heavy duty contact over the paintwork to stop it. |

yes thx for the advice Mick. I thought of this beforehand , i covered the paintwork with seethrough sticky foil (foil used by advertising companies that make graphics on cars), works good. |

Hey, i sold the bike... to tell you the truth it was a real pain in the a**. In my opinion, it's a poorly designed low quality bike with many design flaws. The only part i liked was the engine and front suspension, and the fact that the seating position was quite comfortable. In the reliability department, it was bad. The bike also handles very badly on rough roads. Anyway, keep rolling and hope u guys have a better experience than i did, but i'm gonna be staying away from the Buell for years to come. |
