Pads are out, but I can't seem to get the caliper to slide out between the wheel (Marchesini) and rotor. I've got a thin rag between the wheel and rotor to protect the wheel. I've tried it with the wheel rotated to various positions. I can get the rotor past the step on the top left side of the rotor, but can't get it out. Is there some forcing required, or should it come out without pressure? I remember reading a thread about this, but can't seem to find it now. Help. |

I usually have to pop the lid loose on the master cylinder and compress the pistons in the caliper to get mine off. Also, ditch the rag, it's too thick. Use duct tape. |

Well, I found the thread, read it, and gave it another try with no rag. In my case, I don't think that the pistons were causing the problem, as they weren't contacting anything. It seems that I just have one of those that isn't going to clear. I took off the rotor, and moved on. |

when I fit a Marchesini wheel on my original 1200S forks, I ground off a bunch of material off the back corner of the 4-pot calipers to make them clear the rotors without hitting the wheel, and I took off a BUNCH of metal... |
