You can get small parts like fenders, gaurds, and such from www.americansportbike.com The only people I know that might make a full carbon fiber body set the is www.airtech-streamlining.com In the FAQ's they say " We can make almost every piece out of carbon fiber, too." So I'm guessing if you got the money then they can make it. (Message edited by not_purple_s2 on May 30, 2008) |

Just because they can make it doesn't mean you want it. I've owned some of their parts before. Not a single one made it onto the bike. |

very, very brittle gelcoat, mainly. It was cracking before I even finished mounting the parts. |

There was a CF body set that sold on eBay several years ago. Unfortunately, I didn't have the money. I later found the original owner was Court! http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/185736.html

Well, I don't care if it was a shoddy job; It's still damn sexy. For sure something I will plan on contacting Airtech to see of they'll build it and how much. I sure won't use Yellow decals though. I think the c/f body work would look awesome with my PM wheels. I'll have to ask them if they can do the bag lids and lowers too though. |

I suspect the set shown here that Court used to own is somewhat special... The AirTech pieces have at least one dead giveaway that they're not factory: The rear license plate mount is part of the tail section. The above bodywork appears to be the real deal. Oh, and try getting those LIDS in carbon from AirTech.... It would be nice if someone could make repro S2 Bags. -Saro |

Well, Court said in that link that the set wasn't factory made, but it is cool none-the-less. I haven't figured out how I'll get the bags done, but we'll see. Besides that, the license plate holder being molded into the tail section doesn't bother me 'cuz I always wear the bags anyway. I feel like the bike looks too incomplete without them and the lowers. |

I suspect the decals were white...but the clear on the CF yellowed. IIRC there's a different coating on CF than there is on paint? |

Okay, so out of curiosity, I called Airtech today for a quote on a front fairing... In carbon fibre... The fiberglass one is $207. They said for the fairing in CF would be about $1000 for the fairing alone. |
