Ok I have the XB12R rocker covers on my x1. I just recently routed them two together along with the clutch cover breather (i think thats what its called) into a catch can. I got the normal inlet for the can on the side. A breather filter on the top and the drain plug on the bottom. While riding today I noticed that when I was at a light there was a white smoke and or mist coming from the filter. Is this normal?

Also when I drained the can today I noticed that it was a greenish tinted white spluge...never had it this color before all the motor work. Is this bad>?

I wouldn't worry about it too much.
I just ran my breather to a hose going to the street. It's 97% water anyways.

The green color is odd. pollen? Fuel additives? Oil detergent?

That's the moisture coming out of the primary/crankcase. And the reason that the oil is greenish. Just the price you pay for living in the steamy south with high humidity and rain.

If you tied the engine breather lines and transmision vent lines together, you might be letting spooge into the transmission. You might also be making it harder for the transmission/primary oil to evaporate the water vapor that condenses inside everytime you let the bike cool down.

There is no reason for a catch can for the transmission vent line if everything is in order. All that comes out of it is evaporating water in a vapor form.

No need to worry.
My catch can, which catches only the vapor from the crankcase is smoking through the ventilation filter too.
And I also drain greenish tinted white Pampe : ).

That's nothing. I switched out to Amsoil racing 60 weight oil because I would steam out any synthetic or conventional 20w50. I have the same xb tops and the American Sport Bike catch can. The can is mounted on the right side of the bike just below the seat and next to the battery on the down tube. When at a stop light, if I sit there too long, I can feel my leg start to burn and will have to move it. But this is on my 101rwhp x-1. What is left in there to drain out is a greenish brown sludge, so no worries.
