Can someone give me a quick run down on a starter replacement My bike I thought the battery was in need of replacement so I installed a new battery The symptoms are I hit the start button and the starter makes a sound like it is slipping but not a grinding and it will turn the motor about 1 time. Does anyone feel this is the starter I did try and jump it with a car battery same results.

To replace the starter is it remove the primary drain oil unbolt starter replace primary gasket shifter seal and new oil.
am I missing something.

Does anyone have a manual that is in an electronic form

king:

You've pretty much got it right. There's a gasket between the starter and the case in addition to the ones you listed.

Look in the KV, there's an online manual for an S1. I think it'll serve for the S2 as well.
