I am hooking up all the wires on my X1 tomorrow along with the oil lines. Can anyone get some pictures where the oil lines all go from an too, and also a few pictures of the electrical wires

Dont go out of your way, just tying to see if someone also has their bike apart and can take a few pictures.

THANKS

I probably can figure everything out, its just nice to have a few pictures laying around

im just trying to get pretty much a top picture without a gas tank, both sides, and the rear. I think I have everything back like factory but my main concern now is that line that splits from the left side (if you are sitting on the bike) and then goes down. I cannot seem to figure where it runs. I know where most of the connections go, I just want to route it correctly again.

THANKS

The line out the bottom of the oil tank?

Splits, one end is stopped off(you remove the stopper to drain the oil)...

The other line goes under the battery tray, down through the mounting block between the engine and swing arm mount, though the bottom, and forward to the oil pump....

I have a ton of pics of mine in various stages of..... completeness...

I need to hit the grocery store real quick, I will try to get some uploaded for ya...

Ok so here a a few picture of stuff that is bugging me. Bad pictures but they work for what I need

Ok so there are 2 connectors, one gray and one black. There are two connectors for them to go left and right. Which one goes where?

Just want to make sure that this is the connector for the intake sensor

Where does this go?

Ok so for the injector plugs, theres two connectors. One with gray and white and one with gray and green. Which on goes to what cylinder.

Ok this little unit near the battery tray. There is a plug closer to the battery, and one closer to my hand. There are two connectors one with two wires and one with one wire. Which one goes to what.

Finally where does this one go? What is it?

Okay, off the top of my head...

The last pic, looks like the wire to the starter.... look low on the right side... you should see an empty spade for that...

The pic right above... the rear brake switch, shouldn't matter... the pressure completes the circuit... if it doesnt work one way, try the other, wont hurt anything....

The injectors, I will check in 3 minutes....

And, the sensor connector, well, each sensor uses a different connector, to eliminate errors...

and that connector on top... I will get back...

Give me 5 to 10 minutes

The red and orange wires in 2nd from bottom are rear brake light switch.

On the injectors, can you not read the paper tags on the leads? One should say front, one rear, but they do fade. I believe Green goes to the front.

The gray and black ones, one is Cam position sensor, one is speedo sensor. The color codes AND connector housings should match the recieving ends in the harness, but the dark one is usually speedo sensor (Red, black, and white wires.)

One with gray and white and one with gray and green.

Mine shows White/Yellow and Gray for the front injector, Green/Gray and Gray for the rear injector...

Yes, those two plug are the same...

The color INSIDE the female connector is different...

The speedo sensor, SHOULD have a green center inside, and connects to the MALE connector with White/Gray/Black wires...

The CMP(Cam Position sensor) is orange, or red inside, and plugs into the other plug

Red/White, Green/White, adn Black/White are the colors on the male plug for the CMP...

I'd say chase is right, since he's going off a running bike, and I'm just going off memory.

I gotsta unpack ma books!

I know the very first Ulysses I ever saw didn't run worth a crap, until the I swapped the injector leads. Seems the factory assembler got so excited, they couldn't read the little tags!

Between the bike, and double checking my S/M, and some time on the phone, we got it straight last night...

Dave should be firing that thing off in a few hours....

Beautifull frame Dave! All this would've been easier with a manual eh? Good thing you've got friends on line.
