hey guys i was lucky enough to score a pair of the fairing bags i have been badly wanting.. the only problem is that they were badly faded. so i decided to try to restore some of the "black" back to them before installing.. i wore rubber gloves and "re died" the faded areas with a black permanent marker. marks a lot to be exact.. here are a couple pictures of the one colored in and the other undone so you can see the difference.. i did a couple coats and let dry in.. then i took them outside and shot them with a layer of the sillicone fabric waterproofing spray.. the stuff like you would use on a tent or gear.. latter i will have to get a couple pictures of them on the bike.. not sure how well they will hold up but look good for now.. latter aaron..

Looks good Aaron, Let us know how they hold up to the weather. Mine are pretty faded too. |

Looks very good. For those who haven't been able to score them used, though, they are still available brand new from the factory. I bought some for my S2 about eight months ago |

Aaron, That's a great idea! After I painted my bike, I was sitting there looking at those faded bags trying to figure out what to do with them. I din't want to dye them and turn the pegasis emblem black too. I'll have to give that a try. |
