I was considering buying it for parts, but now I'm thinking about going the other direction and finding a deal on a ZX6R and putting the S2 in the living room in a glass case. |

The 1125 has a Rotax in it, doesn't it? It might be the best motor on the planet, but after getting stuck in the middle of a lake with not one, but TWO dead Rotaxes, there's no way in hell I'll depend on one. Maybe after 5 years of 1125 success, but for now I'll take a cheap little ZZR or ZX-R and go play |

The S2 is a bike that needs to be on the road. Don't "glass case" them. If you get to the point that you don't want to ride them anymore let me know.

well skinner i suppose it would depend on the definition of the glass casing to happen. mine will turn into an 'every once in a while' bike. one that wont get many miles. i would prefer to hold on to it since i like the bike so much, and cant get the money it really is worth at the moment, and i REALLY dont want to see it chopped up. mine will be an S2 that will last a long time and be held in safe keeping |

someone needs to win the bike to put it back on the road as a complete S2 bike. To tear it apart is a shame.......all it really needs is a motor....rex |

...and it's the perfect time to build a light-flywheel Thunderstorm motor for it. The S2 chassis really responds well to extra power |

Thx Rex....No, I cant make the home coming..Its a long way away, 1000 or so miles..Just a tad to far to run by myself for just a 2 day event and then turn around to go home 1000 again...Ive bin to road America twice already,so really all I would want to go to see is the Buell Factory... Im pretty busy here right now as well adding an addition onto my shop... The parts for the RS are rolling in now, and Once they all arrive I can get back at it.. Tim, could ya post a close up pic of the rear shock on yours? Any photos I got arent very clear showing the rear shock... Thx guys...Hb |
