Okay I'm sure this has been covered and I have searched many threads and info is everywhere so here it goes. I bought a 2000 m2 about a month ago from a second owner who seem to be a little of a hack. I have previous experience with Buell but still need more knowledge! I live in phoenix where summer gets hot as hell and I plan on riding everyday (54 miles round trip). 1 What type and heat range of plugs you guys recommend? I don't lug it I like higher rpms. 2 Carb jetting? I've yet to drop bowl but once I do is 45 slow jet enough or can I go 48? Would like to run 190 or 195. I know carbs been messed with just haven't checked it out yet. I have Vance and Hines exhaust with early big twin (round) K&N air filter. Bike runs decent now I just want it to run right in these hot temps. Planning on putting large oil filter and oil cooler on soon. Also running syn oil all to try and keep oil temps at bay in 115 degree summers. |

i suggest the buell pro-series plug it's a platinum split v for only 7.95, comparable plugs go for 12 and up. here's a link: http://buell.com/en_us/gear/accessories/Product.as p?Menu_ID=2&ProductLineID=6&CategoryID=1&ProductID =186 |

Yes I'm running 10r12. When I first picked up bike I replaced old ones with 10r12 and did the rocker boxes and intake gaskets along with fluid changes syn3 oil. The reason I'm asking about plugs is I read some threads were buellers are running champion and NGK. Is this more cost effective or is there performance gains as well over the 10r12. |

I ride in 100+ degree weather using stock 10R12 plugs and no oil cooler. If there was ever a problem doing that, I don't know what it is. I've never had an issue running any kind of oil in the 8 years I've had my M2. |

Thanks for the feed back guys. I guess I can save some money and not buy the oil cooler and put it toward something else. |
