how long can i go and retain a belt drive? a over the counter belt drive? |

The question is then really, what is the longest available belt, yes? Me not know. Hopefully someone else will. |

You could convert it to a chain and go as long as you want, granted that you can find a swingarm that long. |

well i dont know if i want to go chain, so yes blake how long of belts are there that fit our tubbers? thanks the other blake |

Any 1-1/8" wide belt for a late model Harley-Davidson should fit, so you might look for what is available from Gates or Dayco-Panther. A cursory google search shows that Gates makes one that has 139 teeth. Stock is 128 I believe. That gives you almost 5.5 more teeth worth of swingarm length, not a huge amount, but significant, by dead reckoning, nearly 3 inches. (Message edited by blake on April 11, 2008) |
