The SM calls for lubricating the rear swingarm pivot bolt with anti-seize every 8k km (5k miles). The SM covers removal and installation of the swingarm, but I would like to know if there is a way to lubricate the pivot bolt without removing the rubber isolators and/or swingarm. It seems a lot of work if we have to remove the entire swingarm to get a little lube down it's throat! Heck, is it even necessary (in the real world) to lubricate this part? I have read "an opinion" in the KV that they do not require lube. |

There's not really an easy way, and unless you submerge your bike, I consider it overcaution. |
