i am thinking about putting a forcewinder on my 99 S-3....i have efi, but will be converting to a carb at a future time... can i buy the model for the efi and use it on the carb later? what is the difference.. |

Just a hole for the temp sensor. I imagine you could plug it after going to a carb. |

I had a FI one on my Carbed M2 and had no problems. There is a air hole you need to cut in the gasket when mounting it and you can also improver the performance of the forcewinder by smoothing out the channel of that small air hole. I don't know all the details but they are documented somewhere on Badweb. |

I don't think there is a difference in the elbow for a FI application. The hole for the IAT sensor is in the filter itself. Shouldn't be a big deal to plug this hole - you'd barely notice it. Didn't some of the forcewinders also have breather hose fittings? When I put the forcewinder on my M2, I ran various crank vent setups, all of which were ultimately unsatisfactory. Routing back into the intake robs some power, but avoids a lot of mess and plumbing. |
