For a few years, the seat bolt, or whatever you wish to call it, on my 2001 M2 has been useless. I think the plastic inside the seat has been stripped out or just wore out, so that the bolt turns in, but doesnt tighten. Its not a big deal, as I have been riding the bike like that for years without trouble, but I was wondering if any resourceful types have had this happen and created a fix for it. Thanks, Ken |

I have the same shit on mine as well. I bought a new seat and am gonna butcher the old one to see if there is a fix/improvement I can make.. |

I fixed mine by drilling the stock metal piece open a bit to make room for a metal T-nut. I used some small scres to attach it then filled the area with epoxy to add strength. I keep it attached to the bike with a thumb screw and a lock washer. It has worked good for two seasons. Total cost was less then $5.00
