joe, that is unbelievable. buell should ship you, your family and your bike over for homecoming. and if nothing else we need to get a high def pic of the bike that can be made into a full size poster. keep the rubber down and have fun. |

Joe great job as always. You might want to do something with the oil cooler bracket, kinda plain for your project. Joe |

Blake I'd love to make one for you, But! the bike really needs to be here to get it right. Mine is a special length because of my ride height. If you want just get someone to copy it. I had someone in the UK ask the same question. Sorry |

Absolutely stunning bike. Beautiful fab work. One question...it appears the peg posiiton is still at the S2/M2 point. How do the ergonomics feel with them there? S1's are actually somewhat higher and slightly more rearward. Again....gorgeous results. How long did the build take you? |

Dueller the pegs are still in the S3/M2 position and because I'm 6'5" tall thats how I like it. A little more room to move on such a small bike is great. This build has been ongoing since I bought it in 2003. But all of the major fabrication has been carried out in the last 2 years. The main problem is cash flow! Blake I've sent you an email. Cheers Jodie |

Here's some pictures from one of the rides I went on, Over the weekend with a couple of Buells Down Under guys. Terry(Tezza) on the Blue Firebolt and Ian(Astro)on the red Firebolt. Miles was on the new Dyna. Other than the seat the bike is faultless I sent some pictures and a short story about the bike to Jeff Ware at Rapid Bikes Magazine here in Australia, I got a reply back saying they'd like to have the bike in the Mag Yehaa!!!! I'll let you all know once the issue is out and maybe you can get a hold of a copy. Here's a link to the web site http://www.rapidbikes.com.au/

so, how does it handle compared to before? |

It handles great until I have a new matched set of tyres I'm not going to hard on it! The suspension rides over bumps 100% better than the original shock! I think it may be a little slower in the steering on really tight turns, but thats expected with nearly 2" longer wheel base...I'm no racer so it does not bother me I love it and so do most other people when they see and hear it. I've done 1500klm's in less than 2 weeks. I ride to work every day on it. I'll try and do a video and post it on youtube. cheers Jodie |

You did such a good job on that. It looks just "normal". Like "Hello, I just went down to the dealer and bought this" normal. |

Thanks Guys Sorry I've taken so long to reply. The bike is going going awesome! I ride it to work every shift day and night. I've done just under 2000klm's in three weeks. I'm off for a big ride in the morning with some of my work mates. I'll take some pictures of the gauges at night so you can see the blue back light in the tacho. I had to cut the rear fender extender off that I made as the vibrations caused the license plate bracket to fatigue...I should have made it beefier!!! I'm just waiting to hear back from the editor of Rapid Bikes for my editorial in the magazine. I'll need a new rear tyre before the photo shot as it is stuffed. Cheers Jodie |
