I was planning on going on a ride this weekend so I decided to pull my PMs and polish them up when I noticed one of the rubber caliper slide boots was busted. It's the boot that goes n the caliper bracket. I called the dealer to order all the boots and both caliper bolts but they say the only way to get them is to order a new caliper and bracket assembly. Is there another source for the boots and bolts? |

Perhaps you could get them from nissin directly? |

If this is for the 2000 X1 in your profile, you need rebuild kit H0020.FA, list price $37.95. Assuming front brake. It includes six pistons, seals and O-rings. There is a rear caliper repair kit, 44149-98Y, $14.95. Not sure what's in it, but we show one in stock here that I'm going to put my hands on in a sec. |

OK, the rear caliper repair kit is a replacement piston, seal, and O ring. Re-reading your post after more coffee...it looks like you need mounting bolts and boots for a rear caliper? They are listed only as part of the caliper assembly. You can get the pin that holds the pads in the caliper seperately...but not the bolts that hold the caliper to the bracket. |

Sorry, Yes I need the rear parts. Why would they not sell the boots separately? |

Might be a Nissin thing, as noted above...I'll do some digging and see what I come up with. |

Check with Al at American Sport Bike...he doesn't show them on his site, but may know where to get them. |

I think you're right, but I will let you know if I come up with something. I wish I someone at Nissin could tell me where they came from. I doubt they made the boots themselves. |
