i probably have too much time on my hands... i just bought a 03 xb 9r... it needs to be taken appart and detailed... so now i can play with some of the parts and see what will interchange with my tube bikes... this will be a good time to due some powder coating too...

but then i was thinking... the xb is in ok shape, not great shape (rear swing arm has some scuffs).... i could part it out and put the xb front end on my m-2... or maybe do like jodie and put the front and rear wheels on my M-2....or i could just ride the thing! what do you think?

+1 - ride it. They really are lightyears ahead of our tubers for handling and refinement...the only reason I don't own one yet is because I'm 6'4" with 34" inseam and 37" arms. They're....compact. But we do have a recent trade, an '03 XB9R with race kit....it's calling me.

I just need to teach it to call my wife : )

today i went riding and the xb sure is powerful for a smaller motor... maybe i should sell the m-2 and put a big bore in the xb... but darn, the m-2 has less than 2 thousand miles and is a puff....

Had/have both of those except my is a 9s. M2 suspension should not even be in the same discussion with XB.

If you can afford both, I would. But if I had to choose one...I did...XB9.

Ride it for awhile as is and decide from there.

I bought an 03 9R as a fixer upper project and was going to flip it to co-worker. He backed out so I started riding it with more frequency. Now I find myself on it ten times more than my S1.
