Hey...I got the 2 lips the other day...Nice..The S3 lip fit like a glove... The same lip does NOT fit an S2,.without alot of messing around, drilling holes etc.... FiremanJim was 100% correct on that... Laminar refunded me for the one, as It wont fit my S2... Now... Leo asked that if any one with an S2 that lives in Southern Calif, near his place, If they could drop by with thier bike. He would like to make an exact fit for an S2., but needs to be able to see one and the difference from the lip for the S3. Ya never no, ya might get to be the first one with an actual exact fit lip for your S2...Tell em Hankb from Canada sent ya... Hankb..... |

here are a couple quick shots to give you guys a idea.. this is just set on with the front two screws loosly installed and is tipped slightly forward. it installs by removing the rear two screws that attach the screen to the fairing and installing longer nylon screw provided with the lip. the back of the the lip is held on with velcro type fasteners.. it looks like i should function great.. but i wont be able to tell for while.. the s2 is about to come appart again.. hope this helps some of you..

http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/197817.html ebutch here should be a link to the making of the bars and clip ons.. think i may change them this spring,, putting a corbin gunfighter and lady on and it. that changes my seating position. so i may make bars that are up and back a little farther.. still want just the regular corbin gunfighter.. they look so nice.. oh well.. still no word on my damaged fairing!!!! |

I have used the 'LIP' on my S2, I had been using a taller- couple inches taller- gustafson windshield with the Saeng/ta micro swirl edging www.saeng.com the combination of the two- taller windshield and edging offered better wind/weather protection than the stock windshield and LIP combination. almost too good. with a strong head wind, and speeds in excess of 90mpg, I would sometimes experience a little 'weave' in stability. NOT all the time but on occasion. I decided the air could not get around the fairing/windshile/edging fast enough. I had used the micro swirl edging on an FXRT for 10 years+ and I was very happy with the greater wind/weather protection it created. my 2 cents |
