Does anyone have the part # for the front and rear brake light switches? I seem to have a bad one. Brake light stays on all the time, seems to be the front switch. |

I had the same problem with mine. Start with the front switch. Check the gap between the lever collar and the switch housing. There should be little to no gap. If that's not the problem open up the switch housing and take a look at the switch. It's a really simple design. I took mine apart and cleaned it with a small wire brush. |

The guys at the dealership told me that people have a tendency to break the little plunger off when installing the brake-lever perch. Or, as has been said, just not having the perch close enough is a common problem. |

Actually, having said that, I was having a hell of a time with my brakelight switch melting. Probable cause was a bad ground but I gave up tryng to solve it and just wired the switch to activate a relay that activates the brakelight. That way the switch only has to carry relay current rather than lightbulb current. |

Isn't it cool to tear into something like that and fix it yourself for no money. |
