I have been talking about it for a while so here it goes i sat down and figured out how to get my pics on here, first is my 2000 m2 the way i had it, the paint is a dupont prism color so pics dont do it justice it will be black bodywork in the end, and the start of the project these are comparision shots of the differences beween the two bikes the blue tape shows the line at which the frames were cut to be welded back together, and after a mock up to make sure it all fit together and with the inverted showas installed more to come i have some parts at the powdercoaters now so i will keep my build up with pics updated. blake |

Look'n good mate, the S1 tailpiece /seat changes the bike heaps. Sure its not as comfortable as standard but it makes the bike a lot easier to get around on while cornering, and I reacon its not that hard on the arse. Can't beat the looks tho. Thought about the usd front end for mine, but not sure if the expense is worth the trouble, money, money ,money ,MMM |

thats how i am looking at this neverenuf, the whole bike will have gone over with a fine tooth comb, my plans are chrome looking powder coat on the frame wheels and swingarm and mount block, and rocker covers. Black bodywork, new d&d exhaust, 42 mm carb, light weight 26 tooth baker front pulley, cut cam cover, stainless braided oil hoses, xb-s headlight, crossroads bars, shorty crg levers, custom gauge setup, peg riser, billet pegs, xb flyscreen cut lower, black powder coated triple trees and front and rear rotor and caliper, billet catch can, Aluminum oil tank, integrated LED turn and tail lights, bar end mirror, and that is it!.....for now at least blake |

Very nice indeed S1 Look is still the best! Makes the transformation easier when you have a donor S1 frame, I had to make mine. As S1's are rare in Australian wrecking yards. Top job! |

jodie you are correct, i researched first and was able to get the salvage title s1w frame from someone on here my memory sux and cut the back off the frame swapped the two and for fairly cheap i will be able to make a m2 track bike someday in the future, have you come to an idea on price for the oil cooler mount? |

Looking good Blake, I can make the oil cooler bracket(aluminum) plus the steel bracket, to weld to your frame. I will also include the four stainless steel cap head bolts. All you will need to do is weld it on and supply your own XB oil cooler. Total is $40US includes postage. Let me know what you think. Cheers Jodie |

Blake: Nice work! But, just out of curiosity, wouldn't it have been easier to swap the M2 engine/rear suspension unit into the S1 frame, instead of cutting & welding on both frames? Or are there some major improvements on the M2 over the S1 that I'm unaware of? rt |

the frame is a salvage. it has been crashed pretty bad the neck is twisted a bit. and it had no title. |

Your M2 looked pretty sweet as it was. But, there is something about the S1's that is pure sex! |

Road_thing M2's and S3's have the riders peg mounts lower, meaning a comfier ride than a stock S1. At 6'5" I need mine this way |

Thanks, Jodie--I didn't know that! I could use a little extra leg room myself, but I don't think I'll cut my frames up to get it... rt |

yeah i am also 6' 5" so i benefit greatly from the lower peg location of an m2's frame geometry, i do think i am going to raise em up an inch so i dont scrape toes as much, i am longer in the torso so it should be ok, just ask brad im a pretty lanky specimen. lol blake |

I never realized the difference in a M2 seat and a S1 seat. That thing is - was - huge!!! |

Blake I've finished the oil cooler bracket for you. I've included a clamp that you use as a brace for the rear of the oil cooler, as on mine. You will however need to make a wire form to suit your frame. Very easy to do. I've included the stainless cap head bolts. Just needs bead blasting and paint or powder coat. The way the outlets for the oil cooler sit you'll have a hose either side of the clutch cable. It will be easier to understand when you have it your front of you. There's another 3 bolts inculded but not pictured. Here's a few pictures of it for you. Cheers Jodie

yeah or as i plan it will, as soon as the mail comes i will be getting your payment out im in no rush i guess as long as i get the frame into the coater within the next couple weeks. i have to prep some of the holes and stuff on the frame where the powder does not belong. |
