Joe, I keep forgetting every time I look here recently, you're in the middle of summer down there. Looking good. I know what you mean about trying to capture the pearl in the paint when taking pic's. If you don't mind me saying so, your bike would look great with a black, or even red in your case, suede covered seat. I'm really impressed with mine. Here's a pic for you that does neither the suede seat or holographic flake any real justice.
All the best Down Under. Rocket |

Thanks Rocket I have thought about recovering the seat in red, I'd like to see it photo shopped first. I can see your pearl effect but I bet its much better in the flesh Cheers Jodie |

Jodie, the pearl is much more subtle in the flesh. Your seat would look great in red. Rocket |

I'm sticking with the red wheel/frame combo as I've already bought brand new Sunset Orange wheels. Only 3 more sleeps until I take the frame for powder coating! It's been a long time coming |

so you are actually doing the frame in a sunset orange color then and not red? red with the orange wheels might be a little off in color wont it? |

Well No rice, The colour of the wheels is called Sunset Orange, a previous buell colour and in fact it is quite a bright red and nothing like an orange colour. So I'm going to have the other parts, frame, etc colour matched to the same red. So we're only looking at 3 colours here: Pearl White, Red and Black. There will be no orange on this bike. The finished product should look similar to the pic above. |

i know, that sunset orange is a funky color. not really orange but definatly odd for a red also. aslong as they are going to match the frame to the wheels i think that thing will look REALLY sharp! like to see how its coming together when i bounce over here to the old school board. |

Well I've just returned home from taking my parts to the powder coaters, I should have them by Wednesday next week. Total cost is only going to be $360Aus, I'm very happy with that. I had to do the frame Signal red, It was the closest to the Sunset Orange I could get. I just hope that there is enough separation between the wheels and frame, as to not notice the difference in colour, other wise I'll have to get the wheels done to match the frame! I also have bit of a drama! This morning before heading off I was checking my fork legs over and noticed on the right leg that there is a dent in the hard chrome! In other words it is F#$ked! I rang M&W and found out a new slider is $272.95Aus!!!!! I sent St Paul H/D a message this morning and they've replied with a price of $140USD which calculates to $158.65Aus plus postage. I'm also needing XB turn signals and at 10 bucks each will be getting some sent out with the slider. Has any one ever tried removing the lowers from the sliders? I'll post some picture's asap Cheers Jodie |

Man...that photochop is a combination of all of the coolest features Buell bikes have to offer (IMHO). Jodie, your bike gets my vote for the coolest Buell HANDS DOWN! Congrats on it all coming together. |
