Anyone know if that's a bolt-on swap? |

My early 91 RS had the horrible Works canister type shock originally but was upgraded to the exposed spring 91 WP shock. The front mount plates are different it seems as they are still bolted to the Works while it's lying at the back of the garage on the floor deeply unloved! I have temporarily fitted a 97 WP shock in place of the 91 WP and it bolts straight on. So I think it depends whether you have the Works or a WP on it already or not. HTH. |

Bolts right on my '91. The old shock was OK, 'til it got hot. |

I take that back. I did have to drill a hole for the adjuster clamp. |

The sun washed the color out today.

Hmm, my RS has no decals on the front and the 'Buell' on the tank is white, the 'American Motorcycles' is gray... I'm going for the WP shock... no leaking and hopefully sprung for 2-up riding! |

Nice bike Rich, that's a '91 yes? Josh, I find the standard WP spring too soft for two up, but you may be a lot slimmer than I am! |

Thanks Steve. Yep '91, #43. Josh, mine originally had black decals on it, when the tank was replaced, it had white. Some had "Buell" on the front, some didn't. The Pegasus on the front I had painted on there at Bike Week, must've been around '94. (Message edited by Rich on November 04, 2007) |
