I'm looking the replace the mirrors on my '99 X1 (good rear view of my arms). I think my arms will be in the way of bar end mirrors also. What is the tread size, any aftermarket suggestions? Thanks... |

bbbob, I cannot tell you how great the napoleon bar end mirrors are!
For the first time in my life- I was able to see behind me. I know they add 12" to the width of your bike (6" on each side) but they are great. I now have the cheap bar end knockoffs ($65 on ebay) and I can see better in those as well.
FYI someone was selling a 90 degree kit that installed in your exisisting mirror hole and used your stock mirrors for excellent viewing as well. |

10mm metric on the bolt size. I ordered a set of mirrors that were 10 mm stems for a "honda" and the fit right in. The Napolean's look didn't do it for me. They hung out to far, and when I flipped then in they got in the way of my fat hands. |

i have my napoleons set up where the mirror stalk is 90 degrees off of the handle bars and the mirrors come back in towards the bike, doesnt add much width and works nicely. |

Guell, thats the way I had mine set up but, i wanted more space between the grips and the mirrors. |

Bob My bar end mirrors give me the best rear view I have ever had. Plus they don't don't clutter the forward view. Joe |

Wardan, Those "cheap" round mirrors are Constructors Group and are like $79 each. You got a deal! |
