$150 is sweet.
I paid almost $300 for my forcewinder.
That's a lot of money for an aluminum macaroni!
(was still worth it though)

Wardan123 and Natexlh1000,

I bought that simota filter and carbon fiber cover for my forcewinder neck and it looks sweet. I get more positive feedback on that more than any other aftermarket part on my bike. It does stick out though.

Just bought a 2002 m2. Appears to be stock except for a vance and hines exhaust. would like to replace stock air box. Like the slim lines of the Airtech box but not real sure of the foam filter vs standard K&N style. Not really looking for extra performance rather a little more leg room. Anyone have any experience with this particular air box? Thanks in advance.

where are you guys locating your iat sensor once you put on an intake with no fitting for it to go inside the filter? putting it inside a small k&n filter up under the frame?

LimitedX1,

The HBBI intake HAS the hole for the location of the IAT sensor.

Mine is doing GREAT and would NOT hesitate to buy another.

Matt.

newb question. I like the intake. However, I also really like the shape of the tank with the stock cover. Has anyone cut, or scooped, the stock plastic to house an aftermarket intake?

The race teams used to hog out the airbox and put a flat filter in a front facing cutout for a "RAM" air effect. Having a large airbox is supposed to facilitate a plenum.
