Drill out the old rivets, slide out the shell. Use some rockwool isolation from the local hardware store. Close it with stainless steal rivets. ![](http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/clipart/baby.gif) |

thanks.....i found a quiet core baffle at motosport made by the bros for the e series. also ordered some silent sport premium packing. i already bought what i thought was a heavy duty riveter, but didn't understand its limitations until looking it up on their website tonite. i have no desire to spend even more on this project,as $85 is a lot to redo a so-so muff. anyway, other than a sheetmetal fabricator, what business would be likely to use a big riveter? i will just pay someone to rivet it for me, instead of buying another gun. thanks for the help...pretty quick service.......love this forum!! |
