Hmmm let me see TRICK OR TREAT. I could grind up some pencil lead sprinkle around your plug wires and plugs or smear it into surfaces. Or just draw a line down the side of the plug and that would cause this. Dont use antisleeze on plugs. Tighten to spec. They are cheap, change every year. Sounds like a MFB muther broke |

After changing the plug wires again , it seems to have stopped the arcing from the plug boots to the plug base. However there is still a constant glow around the plugs where the insulator meets the metal flats of the plug. More so on the rear jug compaired to the front.Speratic on the front. If anyone has the time , let your bike warm up and in a very dark place (cover the head light to help) or pull the fuse and check and see if there is a blue glow around the insulator of the rear plug where it meets the metal base. You have to look good.Im going to call champion to see if they have heard of this.My bike is a 1999 s3t, race ecm..stock coil champion 908's. |

Ahhh... Sparky may have been right about "old, new wires," but the question is, did that solve your rough running as well? I'm out of town this week or I would try the "glow" test for you. JJJ |

I think your right on about the "Corona Effect".Asked a friend of mine if he could check his sporty with a high output ignition and try this after showing him mine, and he came up with the same results and the same answer. You guys are good !!! |

So this had nothing to do with running rough? |

I thought it did but evidently it was just the bad plug wires. |
