i think i found it myself. is it the XR is for carb models and the XR2 is for FI models? | ||

yes. From experience, I would suggest you get the carb version. you can stick the air temp sensor in the breather hole in the filter and reroute the breather to a catchcan (or the street like me) The breather setup on forcewinders is specifically designed to condense the babysnot out and have it drip on your right shoe. | ||

The diff between the 2 versions is the fitler and some trim / breather As Nate suggests the breathers should not be used ask me how I know | ||

Difference is the extra hole in filter for temp sensor. Personally I haven't had any puking issues and I run the breather into the filter, but the majority do get some amount. I agree w/ Nate. Go with the XR1 and re-route breather.Better yet plug the breather holes, get XB heads and run that line to the catch can. | ||

ya i got the xb heads already, and I have a catch can. I just wanted to know what system i needed XR or XR2. what will I do with the air flow sensor if I get the carb model? | ||

You will put the sensor in the hole for the breather line. You can either run a closed loop from the side breather holes or plug them. The XR2 does come w/ a dress up tube for the sensor, if you want that, get the XR2 and plug one of the filter holes. The fatter silver piece ( in pic ) is the dress up tube.  |
