I'm desperate for fresh tires on my '99 X1. Do you know if a 190 will fit my PM wheel and clear my belt? I do not have the fat tire bug,but have an extra set of Pirelli diablos' from my 996.I could really use them at a time of low funds.Will they fit? | ||

I assume you have been running a 180. On my 2001 S3T with PM wheels my 170 is extremely close the the belt. What am I missing here? | ||

many people have run 190s on PMs with no problems, i haven't tried it personally yet. the 180 is standard on PMs, the 170 standard on Alloys. YMMV | ||

I've always used the stock 170 on my X1.I'm just short of cash and have a spare set of Ducati 996 wheels with low mileage Pirelli Diablos'.I want to mount those Pirellis' on my X1.I got these for my 996  And them,along with the pistons/headwork/cams,blah,blah for my 996 have tapped out my bank account.Over $10k and counting,i'm in over my head | ||

I run either 180 or 190 on my alloys, currently its a 190... never had a problem with it.. Chase | ||

So the standard marchesini rims will take a 190 on the tubers? My M2 has a 170 on it and it looks real close. Hell, if I can get a 190 on mine I'll run one too! | ||

I'm thinking you'll have to remove the hugger (if you haven't done so already) to get the tire to clear. | ||

Sounds like it'll fit.It's being mounted this morning.I'm not happy if i need to remove the hugger but,at least i'll have great rubber. I also blew a fuel line last weekend.I only have used plain 5/16 hose.Not good for FI applications i know.Even the dealers only supply the regular stuff.Is there some better reinforced stuff? | ||

I've seen high pressure FI hoses in various sizes at all the auto parts stores. It's pretty common, there. Not surprised Harley dealers don't stock it, though. | ||

My 1999 S3 Thunderbolt had a 190 Dunlop 208 on the cast stock wheels when I bought it. No problems with the hugger or any other clearance. Fit nice. I went to a 180 this time, just because that is what the shop had when my other tire was smoked. | ||

Even if the 190 fits, I don't think I would put one on anything less than a 5.5 rim. Cast rims are too narrow to achieve proper profile for a 190. IMO | ||

Does it hit the belt? I have 1 track day on a 190 from my 748 and I wanted to put that tire on my S1 w/PM wheel. take some pics of the clearance if you would. | ||

It fit! No it doesn't hit the belt.Close,but don't hit.while installing,and before alignment,it hit.But properly aligned it's fine.Thanks for the responces/encouragement,i saved myself a few bucks when i don't have them. |
