Was going to get it powder coated, but then I couldnt match the color so I think i will have to get it painted. How does paint hold up on the aluminum x1 tail? Just dont wanna spend all this money for paint and it be useless. THANKS | ||

What color? Nuke blue? Call Classic Coatings, they have it... no one else(they did the Buell powder) Chase | ||

no. I need a pearl white with a red double stripe down the very end of the tail...the whites will not match at all. | ||

Hmmm, I would definately say check with Class Coatings, as I know they did the powder on the tubers....... There prices are REALLY good to... Chase | ||

You're probably not going to find a good match for a pearl white. But I don't know why painted would be a problem. My Land Rover has an aluminium body. The paint looks almost as new after 10 years of abuse. | ||

Sounds neat, I polished mine out. Easy enough to do but then it wouldnt be a one off like your's. Strip it well and sand well. Get it smooth with some wet paper. |
