i have been thinking about converting my M2 over to an S1 tail, i love the look, well does anyone have any feedback on the airtech replacement s1 piece that they sell? i realize i am going to have to do some cutting and welding, that is not an issue. |

I have a Superbike tail. Airtech is good quality stuff, just be aware that, as they state, they are unfinished and need much prepping for paint. |

I had a superbike tail at one point. Be prepared to destroy your seat. They aren't too friendly to the leather. |

Thats the Manta tail theyre currently selling @ airtech? I need to work more overtime! Hey Travis, no it's the "Superbike race tail". This one is nicer than the Manta IMO. Check my topic: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/295119.html?1185332001 |

I get a kick out of their website listing parts as fitting "with a little framework shortening",and love the liberal use of the picture of MY bike on his website without asking!!!! Beware buying anything that is not specifically for your bike. |

Ah, you look good Jim! and to quote Airtech, "Not only does this bodywork look fast but also we are confident that this GP bodywork will produce impressive landspeed records at the Bonneville." ...And the small print, "Of course it helps to have Jim busting his ass to get there." |

If this is the part in question...
With this attached description... Direct replacement for the S1 tail section. Simply drill the mounting holes and mount onto your chassis Then it is a single seat tail section. Be aware that there will be some cutting and welding to the frame involved. This is NOT a direct replacement for the M2 tailsection. |

cyclonemduece, BS12 appears to be the standard (single) tailsection. that is based on the pic alone, and not measurements. but if i was in the market for a standard tail, i would buy that and expect it to be (nearly) identical to factory. |
