Looking to get a manual and parts book for my cyclone. I have a 2000, and I found the books for a 2002. They can't be very different can they? |

Mike, I too have a 2000 bike and a 2002 manual... so far no important differences, but I've done fairly simple stuff. Clutch adjustment, carb removal/install, ignition troubleshooting, etc... JJJ |

I have a 2000 M2 and a 2001 parts book. It mostly shows the improvements made, the little changes between the 2000 and the 2001, but I don't know if it's all of them. So maybe it's possible there may be some parts that would be "wrong" in the later book? Certainly nothing that couldn't be worked out at the parts counter, but if you tried mail-order, or ebay, it might could trick you on some small things. I can't think of any "big" changes, off the top of my head. |

Ditto to JJJ. I have done a rocker box and drive shaft seal on my 2000 M2 with the 2002 manual. So far so good!! Michael |

I think the only fundamental difference between in the 2001-2 models from the 2000 was the ignition module and temperature triggered ignition cut-off. I think a number of late 2000 models had the ignition cut-off, too (but not mine, which I believe had an October manufacturing date). |

Oh, wait, the shifter too! The 2001-2 models have the case mounted, linkage shifter. |

There is a 2000 parts book and a 2000/2001 parts book for the M2s. The best book to get (of those two) is the 2000/2001 book it has all the right details and the later parts numbers. DaveS set me straight on that when I was buying the books for my M2 (they went away with it). Jack |
