I finished the main part of my dash today, I will have to make a cut out for the speedo when I get it. I still have to mount it, I should hopefully get that done tomorrow. As usual I have pic's! only there from my mobile phone! Cheers Jodie |

I forgot to mention I cut my top shock mount off and moved it rear wards about 10mm(not much)raising the ride height slightly. Doing this has loosened the belt tension a little more and also after road testing made it steer better . This was my reason for not going and powder coating the frame straight up, just in case I had to do something like this... Whilst I had the mount off I was able to weld in all the nooks and cranny's! |

Thanks Neil and Brian I'm a coal miner, I operate Cat 789 and 630E rear dump trucks, water carts and 16G/H Motor Graders in a coal mine in South East Queensland. Prior to this work I have been a mechanics off sider, spray painter etc but generally have pulled things to bits and put them back together! with some success My free time once this project is done will be spent riding! I'd like to ride to the Moto GP next year at Phillip Island then after the race do some laps of the circuit! I do have plans for a couple of other Buell projects, but financially impossible at this stage. Buells Rock! Cheers Jodie |

Why do pictures of the Zoolander family flash through my head now when I think coal miner? Particularly where Derrick blackened himself up and jumped out at his Dad. |

Jodie Nice work, including the dash. Why not put the tach center and high instead of the speedo? The first mod I made to my S3 was to switch the tach with the speedo. I feel that engine data is of more immediate importance than government mandated dumbing down speed constraints. Joe |

If you look at it the left side has a rounded section which flows with tach and the right side is squared off which will flow with the digi beast speedo when it arrives. |

Excellent! Will you recess the digi-beast like the tach or surface mount? Joe (Message edited by bad_karma on August 05, 2007) |

Well I took the beastie for a shakedown today, and man this is awesome! XB suspension soaks up the bumps so much better than the old pull shock! I met a guy from one of the aussie Buell forums today and what a top bloke! He took some pictures of my Buell. I told him what colour scheme I am painting the bike and before I got home look what he did to them! Freakin Awesome! from this to this! and this! Cheers Jodie |

Madart does that stuff for a living, for the short time less than 2 hours he did an awesome job! The wife loves it! she knows she's not coming for rides on this bike anymore so I'll have to get another one! I like the short tail better myself anyone got one they want to sell? Did anyone say that these S1 seat have teeth in them? Cause it gave me a Freakin sore ass! |

Here's the final colour scheme...I think! It won't have the decals on the swingarm or the rear panel.
