My 2000 S3 has been running poorly since I was caught in the rain without my force winder rain sock. Runs ok sometimes == but then misses and will not pull ove 4000 rpm. I have changed plugs and still will run ok and then symptoms start up again. Replaced the temp snsor today, put in new plugs , and added some injector cleaner. Ran like crap for about 5 miles and then cleaned up and would pull good -- 125 mph and still more to go-- and then after slowing down to about 80 the red injection light came on for about 2 miles. Bike still ran strong but what's up with the light? Is there a fuel pump or something going out or weak? Thanks as always for the input == Bneck |

Follow this guide to reading the trouble codes: http://www.saintjohn.nbcc.nb.ca/Marriott/x1/DDFITr oubleCodes/index.htm On mine, the trouble codes have always been correct and pointed me to within 2 inches of the issue. |

Ok it's finally the weekend and I have time to tackle this--- I am a little gun shy about crossing wires -- when I looked at it it is not numbered and want to be sure it has not gotten turned upside down or sideways. It is a rectangle with a notch on one of the long sides. I assume when I am looking at it the long side of the rectangle should be facing left to right not up and down -- and the notch should be on top. Can I cross the pins with a wide blade screw driver? -- if not what types of ends should I install on the jumper when I make it up -- or am I really over thinking this whole thing? Thanks-- Bob |

Nothing bad happens if you get it wrong. It usually takes me a couple of tries. It's not power, just data. |
