I know! I dropped by a bunch of dealers on my homecoming trip and none of them had a Buell shirt with the name/location of the dealer! Not even APPLETON!!! (they did however have THREE belts in stock as opposed to ZERO like at my local dealer) |

I have yet to find a dealer w/ more than a couple of out-dated T-shirts. They have the bikes hidden in the most obscure place in the store. At Lakeshore HD, I had to be escorted into a storeroom to see the bikes. There is only one tech at my shop who can even work on them, and he admits it's been years since any updated training. It's amazing they sell anything. They brag about the 1125 and then you can't ride it at a corporate promo? |

It does boggle the mind. I have been looking for the big floppy "rideing" shirts with a big Buell logo on it. Cant find them anywhere. Kinda like a shaggy style tshirt. I know they exist, just disappeared though. |

There were about 1 dozen 'Own the Corners' caps on the shelf at Rapid City HD when I was there Saturday. That was their entire Buell line of clothing. Three lil Buells sat by the door compared to over a hundred HDs. I saw two Buells in motion in the Black Hills during my three days at the rally. |

so how was sturgis. test rode my first buell out there in 01 and never regretted it. i've heard that it's gotten worse out there for riding around. tell me that's not true. i really want to go out there again sometime and don't want to regret it. the dealer my daughter works for does try to have a clue about the buells and the sales manager is a little more buell freindly than most places so they do try to have more than the normal store. |

Sturgis has changed so much since my first rally in 1985. The outlaw atmosphere has given way to HD t-shirt and flare stores. No 'individualists' on earth go to such lengths to look and dress alike as Harley owners. Spearfish canyon, Needles and Iron mountain roads are pretty well clogged up with traffic but you can open up on good rides such as from Cheyenne Crossing to Buckhorn WY and down to Rocheford, then some decent gravel back to 385 into Deadwood. |

If you're still in the Sturgis area... get to DELUXE Harley Davidson and Buell in Gillette. 9 Buells on the floor, and 2 full racks of Buell Stuff! (mens and womens T's, long sleeve T's, Sweatshirts, LOTS of Buell leather jackets and other jackets, keychains, gloves) |
