Somewhere on here I bumped into a thread that had pics of all the differen handlebars stacked up to show the sizes and shapes.. I can't find it. So I'm looking to put TT or Uly bars on my X1 because I want a slightly wider grip and a slightly more upright seating position. Anyone done this? Does it look stupid? Mess with the handling? require swapping out lots of cables and wires? Thanks, -John |

Most of the choices ( Crossroads ) bring the hands narrower and lower. If you want bars a little higher, American Sport Bike has a one inch and a 2 inch riser. This will give a more upright posture and if you use the shorter riser I doubt handling w/ be compromised. As far as wider, I don't know of any options, may have to fab something. |

I thought about swapping to a set of City Cross bars but never did, figured the cross brace would hit the dash and/or the trip-meter knob. |

If you are using stock seat you can get a more upright position by going to the Pegasus or Corbin. This along w/ a riser should make a noticeable difference. Keep in mind the Pegasus is out of production and hard to find and the Corbin is 350$. As I said earlier the riser might just do it and its cheap. If it doesn't work you can add the seat. |
