I was reading through CycleWorld online today and stumbled across an article where a bunch of reviewers on middleweight sports stopped by a taping of the tonight show. Jay was looking over the bikes and was criticizing their lack of personality and made the following comment, I thought it really summed up what our Buells mean to many of us. “I kinda grew up, you buy a bike, then you put the twin-carb setup on it, you sort of ease your way up,” he continued. “Like the Buell that I've got in there. I bought it, then we built the full-race motor-130 hp at the rear wheel. It has such personality, you know?” Plus it was cool to know that Jay Leno owns a Buell. Here is a link to the whole article. http://www.cycleworld.com/article.asp?section_id=1 2&article_id=265&page_number=2 |

I was riding the RS over Coldwater Canyon on Memorial Day (last month), heading to a job site, and it ceased to provide self-powered forward momentum. (Turns out a wire broke to the fuel pump.) I'm parked at the end of a small side street, waiting for the spouse to bring the salvage vehicle, and I see this AWESOME yellow Hudson (Hornet?) driving up Coldwater. Yup - Jay Leno! He smiled and waved. Continued on his way. AL |

Leno's Buell is an XB built by Hal's not by his guys. But yeah, I'd bet it has loads of personality |
