I want to get a little more rise in my S3 handlebars -- a 1000 mile weekend proved to be a little painful. I've tried Blast bars but they look a little too "stingray". Someone told me they had gotten some risers that worked well -- any suggestions?} |

There is such a thing as a dog bone riser. It's shaped like a dog bone and you need to run a short straight section of 7/8" tubing where your handlebars used to clamp so the dog bones can clamp on. I beleive they come in 4" and 6" lengths. Why can't you just run some taller handlebars? KK |

Bob Do you have the taller S3T bars? They are about 1-2" taller than the stock S3 bars. Joe |

+1 on what Bad Karma said. I thought I wanted to be a little lower so I bought a set of the S3 bars...they tended to hurt me so I went back to the S3T bars and all is well. |

Are the Buell Blast and S3T bars actually the same as I have been led to believe. I've got a set of the Blast bars and although they are taller they are also narrow and "look a little to "stingray" as stated above. |

I have always heard that the blast bars ARE S3T bars -- however I have never held them up side by side. The risers sounded interesting -- I could even run a flatter bar and get that Orange County Chopper look. ---Just kiddin' -- |

American Sportbike now makes risers. I put a set on a couple of weeks ago and posted a review. They raise the bars about an inch and maybe move them back 1/2 inch. No problems with clutch cable clearance or anything else except you have to add a new pad to the windscreen to keep it from vibrating. I'm happy with them. |
