Any feedback on the XR-2 for EFI? Does it eliminate breather puking? Thanx

No, If your bike makes spooge it just drips out of the filter,

there are several fixes

a. XB rocker box setup
b. catch can
c. back into the inlet, and on to the pipe

The forcewinder breather makes it WORSE.
It condenses it and drops the oily watery crap on your right shoe.

I ended up giving up on it and have two banjo fittings that lead to the street just in front of the rear wheel.

I thought this was what was making the oily mess all over the engine (front cylinder, mostly), but have plumbed the PCV hose down by the kickstand, and I still have oil all over!

Maybe it's a leaking rocker box cover. So, what is involved in converting to the XB rocker box? My bike is a 1998 S3T.

I had the Force on my X1, which now belongs to another fellow bueller... but I had a catch can that I had the line dump into.. never did like the fact that the spooge dumps into my engine.. lol

"So, what is involved in converting to the XB rocker box?"

Nothing really... except the rocker covers themselves. You don't replace the rocker boxes, just the covers. You'll probably have to grind on the front cover (slightly) because it interferes with the front mount (doesn't have to be done if you have an NRHS mount). You'll also need to route the breather lines to a proper vented catch-can - dumping it on the ground isn't prudent at all.

Especially in front of the rear wheel!

My S1 currently has a breather filter at the left passenger footpeg mount. My S2 eats the puke (there's an image!) thru a tee fitting that sends it right down the carb throat, doesn't drip a drop and hasn't used any oil since I got it. Now that it's thunderstorm, however, that may change....too bad the heads/pistons/cams ate my parts budget for the next three months, or I'd have done the XB conversion while it was apart!
