Hey hows this for luck! I need a 135T belt for my Buell! Well it turns out that the Ulysses runs a 135T! Taken from the news section on Buell's website-"Goodyear Hibrex 135-tooth final drive belt with Flexten Plus technology designed specifically for Ulysses requires no scheduled service or replacement." YeeHa!!!! |

Here's my oil lines I made up today...I'm not sure if I'll stick with the red hose's yet. I will also put some protection around the hose's were they pass through the exhaust bracket. No hose clamps yet still just mock up! I'm getting tempted to put some oil in and start it just to here what my exhaust sounds like! Cheers Jodie |

Jodie, I dig those oil lines, they look great. I need to replace a few and will probably have to steal your idea. Been looking for ways to add some more red accents to my bike... -Mike |

Ya know, you guys, the braided stainless hose and AN fittings are not that expensive through Summit or Jegs. It is easy to do and looks great--and you don't have to worry about rubbing through, maybe the opposite as it can be a bit abrasive on stuff. I did my racebikes and then all the oil lines on the S-2.Just buy a roll of line and the ends you will need and go to town. Different colored ends available. |

I took someones advice and moved the tail light and indicators back closer to the rear edge of the tail unit. I'm trimming the reflector mounts off today and it will be ready for some new black powder coat. As usual here's some pics! Cheers Jodie |

Looking good Jodie! Jim-In regards to the oil lines, the summit racing/jegs stuff won't work, AN fittings have a male cone which the nut holding the tubing as a reverse flare. The XB swingarm fittings are more like hydraulic lines, with a female thread and a male cone, thus the AN fittings would need a reverse cone(female). The fittings on the XB swingarm are more like hydraulic units. You could change it out very easily but you have to custom make the siphon tubes onto the proper fittings. Not a problem just more work. I was going to do this but put my project on hold for a while. Time has become a hugh constraint. I put the chassis up on the shelf, along with the wheels, forks, bodywork, etc. and sold the motor. Kind of sad to see her go, but with the arrival of my third kid I decided that I'd rather use what little time I had to ride than to wrench. I'm hoping to pick up a bike over Memorial Day, and ride the wheels off of it, and then when my boys get old enough to help out get back to this project. Jodie I have to say that I admire the work and thought you've put into this, I had mine all mocked and ready to go, save for the oil lines, but the finishing work was just getting too time prohibitive and I didn't like the idea of having someone else do the polishing/painting work(plus the amount of money I'd havta spend), so I put it on hold. If you need any help-which I doubt, let me know. Keep it up as it's looking badass! |

Sorry to hear about that Corey! It's been very quiet lately on this thread without you! Even though things have slowed for me, the time and money invested I will not stop on this project. I don't have to much more to do, but I'd like to have all the parts I need for the XB headlight/ignition switch etc before I pull it down for the last time to start the paint and powder coating. As I only work 6 months of the year time is not my constraint it's the $$$$. I'd rather be riding it then working on it! Hope your looking at buying another Buell. Jodie |

I'm looking at getting an XB9r-doing some bolt on stuff such as heli-bars and lower pegs and then not messing with it. I've been working so much that I have the opposite problem. the money is there, the time is not...I worked 40 hrs of OT last week alone, plus another 40 this week, and it looks like it is just going to keep continuing. Plus I should be starting school again in the fall. That all = no time. Keep us posted as it's fun seeing someone do this especially step by step(plus it may help when I ever get back to it) |

The final stages are the most time consuming-at least for me. I could never fit the polishing, sanding, or painting in between work and family-the stanley cup playoff aren't much help either Thus I sold the highest dollar item-the motor, and put the rest on the shelf, to hopefully be gotten to at a later date. I'll post some pics of my newer ride if I can ever get there to pay for it and pick it up...Work is putting a cramp in that too!! |

My high milage S1 has the Lightning XB tail piece and head lites. The tail piece rocks; I had to cut it down a bit and bolt it to the S1 |

Trying again... A bit older iteration from about 3 years ago. I later replaced the 4-valve setup with a factory race motor with a set of Axtell 1250 barrels

Looks cool Dave, Post some updated pictures with the new look. After much thought I decided to remove the pillion peg mounts, Single seat rego is cheaper here in Queensland and I doubt any one would want to sit on this thing for to long! other than ME! I'm currently making a new side stand that is similar to the XB series of Buell's. I should have it finished soon and will post some pictures. Jodie |

Corey It looks similar to the XB's. Have to use your heal between the gear lever and the foot peg to lower it. I can't believe I didn't post a picture of it in the up position! I'll shoot some in the morning and post it up. I Tried to make it look as factory as possible, by coping the little foot and turning up the posts for the spring to attach to, The spring is the only original part of the old stand. I also made a shorter gear lever spacer out of aluminum, to compensate for the thickness of the side stand mount. |

As I'm using the XB ignition switch/lock I've made a little plug up on the lathe to go in place of the old lock. I also didn't like how Buell Australia just stuck the compliance plate on the first part of the frame they could find! so I've made a section up thats welded under the seat(similar place to where my BMW had it) the underside of this part will be perfect for the single seat mod plate to go... As usual I have pic's! This is where the plate was! This is where the plate is know! Here's the plugged up steering lock hole! Cheers JB |

Latest Mod's Made a copy of the rear master cylinder mount and welded it to the right hand side, I drilled and tapped it as to mount my heal plates I made. I'm going to bead blast them then spray with wrinkle finish black as per the rear pulley, I've also ordered some stainless steel cap head bolts for both sides, as usual I have pic's and will also post some pic's once I paint them. I refitted my wire harness tonight, I'm going to give it a kick in the guts as soon as my new clutch hub turns up. I can't wait to hear the beast running again! Went to Morgan and Wackers to buy the 135T belt, headlight, clutch hub plus a new Buell T-shirt as the old ones worn out! Some pics with the S1 tank on... Cheers Jodie |

I made some parts for sjh(Seth) and in return he sent me the XB lightning headlight mounts and ignition switch, I cut and fitted my wire harness plug from my original switch onto the XB's. I only have to weld a steering lock stopper onto the frame know, then I can pull the bike down for paint and powder coat. I bridged the switch in the high/low beam controls so that I had both lights on for high beam. light off Low beam High beam I made the pictures clickable Cheers JB |

Looking good sir. I cheated! Went out and drove a ways to pick up an XB9r this past weekend. Great bike super fun just to goof off on. I know I'll get back to the old buell one of these days becuase based on pure looks it can't be beat, but damn these XB's are cool, fun little bikes. Are you gonna leave the front fender orange? paint the rear to match? That could look kick a-- with the orange wheels and frame and a white tank, flyscreen, and seat pan...Just a thought...maybe even paint the underside of the tank and the seatpan orange to, man am I liking the looks of that....Enjoy!! |

Thanks Corey I think your the only one checking out my bike! Did you buy a new XB9R? they've been selling cheap in Oz. Must be discontinuing this model! I fitted my Uly/Ss 135T belt last night, I'm running with the 26/55T pulley combo. I need to make a spacer for behind the pulley so that it tracks correctly. But otherwise its perfect. I'm just waiting on a new clutch hub to turn up, then I'm putting some oil's in her and going to fire her up! I may even go for a lap around the block...I'll even try and post a youtube video link of it running. More than I can say about me! |

I think your the only one checking out my bike! NOPE! I have been watching since Day 1!
