Are all the V&H slip on exhausts the same, that is does the same model fit all tubers or are they model-specific? |

there are different collector sizes depending on if it was for a thunderstorm motor or not, and the cyclone ones had a black inlet pipe instead of stainless. the thunderstorm ones are 2.5" dia and non TS are 2" i believe?? as far as the mounting and such they are fairly universal as far as i remember. your 2002 M2 s should be able to use any one that would have the 2.5" collector, 98 S1W, 98 S3, and any X1 or newer M2, i am not sure of the year that all M2 were thunderstormed...? hope that helps. i am sure someone else will post with more info as well. |

"the cyclone ones had a black inlet pipe instead of stainless." The V&H for my 2000 M2 doesn't have a black inlet pipe. 1999+ Cyclones had Thunderstorm heads. The S1W is unique because it had the old style over-the-frame header but a 2.5" collector. From what I can gather from German board members, all Buells exported to Deutschland (and maybe Europe?) had 2" collectors, even with the last-gen under-the-frame header. With a 2002 M2 you should be safe using any 2000+ V&H for any tuber Buell (except the Blast). 1999 V&H's may have had black inlets, but I can't remember for sure. They'll fit, but they won't match. |
