I am looking for someone who has mounted a ventura rack on their x1. I am looking for info on how and where it mounts. I am pretty sure the front of the rack mounts to the bottom two mounting tabs of the tailsection. But I am wanting to know where it mounts to the rear of the tail section. Al @ American Sport Bike sent me some pics but there was no detail showing where it mounted, along with the mounting points being covered by the stock rear plastic. Thanks in advance | ||

Seth, I used to have one on my 2001 X1 , till I chopped the tail anyways. The mounting is a bit of a PITA but it does work. I'll assume you're having issues with the bar that goes under the tail section. You need to have patience and make sure that you keep the overall assembly positioned evenly wrt the tail section.
