so I have no idea what kind of oil the PO put in this bike and it's time for a oil/filter change. If I want to use synthetic, do I just do it regardless of what he ran in it before? The Bike has 4982 miles btw. Thanks, Brent 2000 M2 |

Yes, just change as usual! Mobil 1 20w/50 v-twin, Amsoil 20w/50 motorcycle oil, and Syn3 seem to be the most popular choices.... |

I use AMSOIL in both engine and trans. The trans shifts noticeably smoother and it seems the oil consumption is less in the engine. |

I use Mobile-1 20/50 in both the primary and the engine. I generally get the auto version as it's more available and a little cheaper than the motorcycle stuff. |
