Hey had a quick question. I just replaced the shift linkage assembly on my M2. There was some jerry-rigged linkage on there that kept coming apart so I got a a replacement. I have it set at the factory eye-to-eye length of 4.75". It is nearly impossible to shift now. What gives? I followed the manual procedure... any ideas? |

Are the forces pushing on the levers at right angles to the axis of motion? Perhaps you are off by a spline or two?

Hmmm, all I had replaced was the rod, the rest of the shifter should be the same as before. The only visual cue that I can see is that the rod is a bit shorter than what it replaced. But, maybe that alone threw off the leverage... |

If you want to stick with the stock shifter, use the X1 lever. It's longer and gives better leverage.............Charlie |
