As many of you already know Buell has made many limited editions over the years. The Carbon Fiber Extreme X1 was a 1999 Lightning with carbon fiber tank cover, chin spoiler, front fender and pegasus inlaid windscreen. Also a numbered gas cap was on the bike. I own one and would like to know where the others are. If you know for certain where one is or own one yourself post it up and see how many we can get. Sleez you've been busy, busy. It will take me a whole day of work to sort all this out, shoot  . Since you can find this so fast let me pose a question. I read once somewhere that there were some japanese X1 CF editions that had white frames and wheels but I could never find a pic of these. Let's see what you find. As far as I know they're parked next to Nessie and Sasquatch. | ||

I read once somewhere that there were some japanese X1 CF editions that had white frames and wheels but I could never find a pic of these. This is definitely true! Buell used to have a banner from Japan showing the '99 Carbon Fiber Extreme bike in a profile view hanging in the lunchroom. It showed white frame and wheels along with nearly all the same CF parts as the other CF Extreme X1's. Here are some pics I scanned out of a Japanese Buell Magazine. Even though the bike is modified, the white frame and white wheels are original.   Notice the flyscreen is different than the US - and all other countries - versions.  And here are some pics of a Special Japan version Carbon Fiber Extreme flyscreen.  And it's unique, smaller Pegasus.  1313  |
