Fron H-DNet: March 20, 2007 To: All Buell Dealers Subject: Clarification regarding availability of Buell tube frame parts Dear Buell Dealer: This letter is to clarify misinformation in the marketplace regarding service parts for Buell tube frame models. Buell tube frame motorcycles, excluding Blast models, were produced from model years 1995 through 2002. These product offerings included the following: S2/S2T S1 M2 S3/S3T X1 To date, very few tube frame service parts have been discontinued, yet we often hear of misinformation in the marketplace regarding the availability of Buell service parts. To clarify misinformation and prevent additional confusion with your customers, please instruct your Service and Parts personnel to be diligent in their investigation of Buell part availability by using the same tools and resources they would use to find a Harley-Davidson service part; resources include TALON, h-dnet.com, or Vintage Parts. If, after checking those resources there is still a question regarding availability, your personnel should contact your assigned SPOC representative to be sure of a particular part’s status. We recognize that our service parts function and availability are critical elements in maintaining good customer relations and our mutual success. Within reason, we sincerely hope to provide the best support possible for these older models. Our goal is to provide service parts which provide fit, form, function and color match to original equipment specifications for a minimum of seven years following the end of a model year. Where possible, we will continue to support non-current model year service parts beyond this stated seven year period. For more information, contact your SPOC representative at 1-800-664-7762.
