I need some up close pics. Let me get to point a friend of mine which is also a bad webber. He knows who he is he sure is a good guy. Anyway he gave me the fairing but im not sure if its going to clear the header.S i need to see pics so i know if im just holding it at the wrong angle. I don't want to buy the braket kit until i know its going to work. Thanks Rummy |

My S1W has Race Kit header and muffler, mounted with the upgrade 'Y' bracket. It has the Buell carbon fiber chin spoiler fitted with the correct Buell mounting hardware. The chin spoiler runs so close to the header pipe, a little movement of a millimeter or more on the headers or the spoiler can make the difference between it been as close as a millimeter or two or slightly further away. Yes it runs close but the spoiler will not melt providing it doesn't touch the header, even if it's that close. Plastic might be different but I would think carbon would be just as easily damaged by heat from a header. Rocket |

Look at pictures of any tuber with the chin spoiler on it, to see proper fitment and positioning... my profile pic shows one on my M2 with race header and exhaust, and while it comes close, nothing to worry about - I test fitted for looks on my S1 and it fits fine - that area (aside from the header) for the most part is the same between tubers - you should have no problem - like Rocket - many others have done this ... If you are having major clearing issues while just holding it up - you probably have it upside down ... easy to do, at least I think so (I test fit mine upside down at first...) |
