I went to get my rear tire changed this weekend and when they pulled the wheel, the left side (single, large) bearing had self destructed. All the original bearings had failed last August and had been replaced. Did the mechanic put in crap, miss install or what? There was maybe 4 or 5K miles on them. Has any one else had this problem? |

who and how were they installed? seal damage, excessive side loading etc cause some issues, bearing is on the brake side? |

Yes, brake side. The other side seemed OK, but I bought all new ones and will get them installed next week. |

DF check the spacer pipe for damage, I dont know the length, depending on wheel the cast wheels ( spacer) are said to be aluminum and may be easily damaged, possibly leading to bearing failure. |
