I've noticed on the past few rides I've taken after the bike is fully warmed up and ridding for a little while, it'll miss or cough when blipping the throttle off idle. If revved up slowly, or holding the revs at any rpm, there's no missing or coughing or anything. But when blipped off of idle it'll just miss once, and then rev up fine. I'm just assuming it's because of the jetted carb or open exhaust and intake or race ignition. I just want to make sure it's nothing I should be worried about. It still rides perfectly fine, and is still very powerful, and never misses or coughs while riding. |

The dreaded Keihin cough. It's a trait of the CV carb I'm afraid. If it bugs you, get a Mikuni. In fact, even if it doesn't bug you, get a Mikuni. I still think the Mik is the single best mod I ever did to my S1W. Al |

Does it do it every time you blip the throttle, or only intermittently? If it gets worse during MB, there'll be a multitude of people to help. |

Mike -- +1 on AL's post (always) you CAN dial that cough out, almost, but I don't know of a CV that doesn't do it sometimes -- careful setting of the slow speed screw and proper low jet will minimize it |

I only notice it intermittently.
