Wolf: I use Avon Azaro Av46-st size 180/55zr17(73w) Rear.Or not as wide 1/2" less170/60zr17. with your PM rims. FrontAv45-st size120/70 zr17 (58w).These are sport-touring tires better mileage than plain sport.On a stock + modishly modified S2T will perform 2nd to none!M.a.w. cheapest I have found.1 800 241 2222 |

I second the avons but I run the sports. But I run the 180 on the rear with my PM wheels. Joe |

I'm running the new Avon Storm sport tourer, excellent! Been through 3 sets of metzeler M1 sportecs, they were great, although the last set only lasted 3,000 miles as compared to 5,000 from the 2 sets previous, I suspect they use cheaper rubber on them since they came out with the new M3 tire. the Avon storm I like even better than the Metz, we'll see how they wear... |

After running several of Dunlop's flavor-of-the-year on my S3, I wanted a tire that provided better handling and mileage. I read many, many posts in BWB on tires... and I settled on the Michelin Pilot Road. I was sooo pleased with the results, I installed a set on my XB12s. Completely changed the handling of both bikes... for the better. Much better I must say! |

Metzeler M1's felt so good to me, I didn't care too much about the mileage. The M3's I'm using now are stellar. |

I'm no tire expert, but I've been really happy with my Conti Road Attacks These pics were taken about 2 days after getting the tires. I've taken them down a couple of twisty roads since then and I'm gradually leaning further and further over. I also cruised to Florida at 80-90mph with a few bursts of triple digit speeds and they were quite stable... even over 120mph. I'd still consider myself a young rider so I can't call on a lot of experience to give a good critique of them. But I will say, as one who is just now venturing on to the twisties , that they are very confidence inspiring. |

I've got the Conti's on my M2 and I love them! Like Not_purple_s2 said, they are very confidence inspiring! They also grip unbelievably well on wet surfaces. I got caught in the rain with them not too long after I got them. All I can say is that they tracked very well in a lot of "not so nice" situations. |

I just change my rear tire with about 10K miles. Metzler Sportec M3. Went back to M1, about 7500 typically for rear, but softer compound and better feel. |

My avon storms, AV55 front and AV56 rear were $244 USD delivered. From competition accessories, www.compacc.com I believe. |

My current flavors are... Michelen Power Race up front...
and Pirelli Dragon Super Corsa out back...
I tried to snap some pics showing the LACK of chicken strips...but, didnt work out TOO well, you can kinda make out the blistering/scuffing on the front... Anyway... you get the idea.... And if you wanna know about me punishing my tires... Ask a few people... Chase |

Just put on a set of Pilot Powers on my S1. Not even scrubbed in yet and and a noticable improvement over my Dunlops. I'm told not to expect much more than 3500mls from them but I'd rather have the traction |
